The kiss between Judas and Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane reveals profound truths about betrayal, friendship, and God's love. Judas used a gesture of affection to betray Jesus, while Jesus still called him friend. 

This story teaches us about hidden motives, the difference between outward service and true discipleship, and God's ability to forget our past failures. Like Peter's denial and restoration, we learn that failure doesn't disqualify us from usefulness. 
The key lesson is Jesus's prayer: not my will, but your will be done.
