New York Times Bestselling Author Elliot Ackerman, joins Mark Thompson to discuss his book “THE FIFTH ACT: America's End in Afghanistan”.

Ackerman graduated from Tufts University and ROTC in 2003 and was an active Marine from 2003-2009, including serving as a Raider, the Marine Corps equivalent of the Navy SEALs. Then, from 2009 to 2011, he served in CIA special operations. Elliot has never spoken about this part of his military career (with the CIA) until now.
