Mike Zielinski, Host of Talking Sports & Fitness with Zeke Host on The PEOPLE Chronicles, BCTV show host and talks about how a sports guy got involved as the promoter and marketer for Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest. He didn’t know one jazz artist when he was asked to promote the Festival so he did a lot of homework and met a lot of fascinating people.

Mike is most impressed by the artists. He says some people in sports world and the rock world some people are prima donnas. But in the Jazz world he says the artists are amazing, personable and amiable, folks just like you and me. This is highlighted during the Midnight Jams. The artists get together after they have performed at their respective concerts and pout on another show featuring a couple hours of impromptu jazz that is obviously as much fun for the artists as it is for the audience.

Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest is a genre melting pot featuring straight ahead jazz, blues, contemporary jazz and funk. John knits together a mosaic of jazz genres for the Festival making sure that there are not two concerts at the same time featuring the same genres.
