Dan is on location this week, so Michelle talked to Marlene Carson the founder of a non-profit called BLAST-Black Leaders Against Sex Trafficking. Marlene shared what she has learned about starting a non-profit, plus that her organization has a special program to help others start non-profits with mentoring and resources. As an entrepreneur and survivor of sex trafficking herself she sees where the gaps in the system are, and is always looking for ways to help in those areas. Hear where she experienced times that the system that claimed to rescue her, may have revictimized her unknowingly. She hopes Blast will bring more black Leaders voices to the table to help stop trafficking.
