What does it mean to make Christ the center of your marriage? Husbands and wives cannot write their own lines. They have a role to play. Marriage was designed by God to paint a picture of Christ’s love for the church, and the respect of the church for her Savior. A husband’s role is to be like Christ, and a wife’s role is to be like an adoring church who loves her husband.
