I have realized that Jesus wants to fix whatever isn't working properly in our lives. There is not a magic Holy Spirit wand that fixes everything in our lives the moment we accept Christ. It is a life of yielding that brings transformation. We must come to Him unashamed and with a willingness to expose what's fragmented. This may be a journey for you, but you must stay on the journey. It is interesting that this man did not have a name in the story but a condition. Was he named "the man with the withered hand" among the church attendees? How quickly we pass out labels to people without realizing that God has plans to meet them right where they are to redeem and change everything. When they are willing to expose to Jesus what's not working in their lives, He makes all things new; the past, the present, and the future.
