What is a "Marriage Covenant"?

We are going to explore what it is in this episode and why its not only important but fundamental in the unity and fruitfulness of our marriages.

Have we been doing marriage "wrong"? Have we been going into marriage with a "contract" mindset or a "covenant" mindset because the way we show up in our marriages is a direct reflection on which mindset we are using. A covenant calls us to submit to the will and way of God where as contacts call us to answer to ourselves and rely on our own tools to create a fruitful and fulfilling marriage. But the problem with this is that we are all susceptible to "sin" so if we are not making ourselves obedient to God then what makes us think we will be obedient to the parameters of the contracts we have signed.

What is the glue that holds us together when our feelings and actions are not matching the outcome we desire. Who and what influences our willingness to change, is it the world or the word? God outlines HOW we are to do marriage so in this series of "Marriage Matters- From the world to the word" we are going to learn about what God has to say.
