As a spouse of an intimacy anorexic, you often feel alone and disconnected. The pain and trauma from this can overwhelming at times. However, through the 12 Steps program, those who are married & alone can heal and move forward in life. In this video, Dr. Doug Weiss, Licensed Psychologist and author, covers Step Seven of the recovery journey.
This step is about humbly coming before God to ask Him to remove our shortcomings. It’s about coming to God from a place of engagement and need. Getting into His presence as a daughter or son of God to ask Him to get rid of the things in you that’s causing problems in your life. The process of Him doing so isn’t all at once, but over time. Be willing to work with Him during this time and you will see results in time.
