On the eve of the magical, mystical winter solstice let’s pause to consider the call to let your/our light shine with the aid of a little bit different story– the life story of dancer and artist Marta Becket and the Amargosa Opera House.

The Winter Solstice is a good time to consider the significance of our cyclical journey through the cosmos, and reminds me that everything–every new life, idea, or work— begins in darkness. I find inspiration in Marta Becket’s story and share it with you in the hopes that it sparks something beautiful and gives you the courage to let your light shine.
