This week, we share episodes 5-6 from season 2 of the Transnational Institute (TNI) series of interviews with author and journalist Martin Smith, who's work includes the book Burma: Insurgency and the Politics of Ethnicity and the documentary Dying for Democracy.

Smith is the co-founder of the Prospect Burma educational trust, a former independent expert member of the Three Diseases Fund board, and a senior advisor to TNI.
