A simple wish from her six year old son captured Marty’s heart, beginning Shadow Buddies, a non-profit organization celebrating 25 years. The Shadow Buddies Foundation is a children’s charity dedicated to providing support to children with severe illnesses and disabilities through unique programs and “buddies,” plush dolls carefully crafted and researched to represent specific medical and emotional conditions and providing the companionship of a friend “just like me.”
