In a bid to stop the world from becoming complacent in the fight against the COVID19 virus, industry giants, Marvel Comics and Marvel Studios are set to have prepared a joint statement urging their fanbase to not get swayed by rumours and stay vigilant in the fight against the virus.
The company which started in 1939 under Martin Goodman as Timely Comics, is one of the largest players in the comic book and superhero genre. Their comics have sold billions of copies to date and after venturing into the movie space have repeatedly broken box office records year after year. The parent company Marvel Entertainment was bought by Disney in 2009.
The Marvel stable boasts of popular superheroes like Iron Man, Captain America, Spiderman, members of the Avengers and the X Men. Their main competition in this space, DC Comics who own Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman among others have slowly ceded the number one spot to Marvel over the years.
Our sources within both Disney and Marvel Entertainment have confirmed that the management is highly disturbed by rumours floating around the various fan channels that the so-called double and triple mutant variety of the COVID19 virus that is being reported in India, Brazil and the rest of the world, is a hoax. Various conspiracy theorists have claimed that the reports of the various new mutant variants are just an elaborate PR stunt to promote the delayed X Men movies.
The production house is being accused of using the worldwide pandemic to promote their movie franchise which has been rudderless since the last Wolverine movie, Logan, which killed off the much-loved character player by actor Hugh Jackman. The constant buzz about a mutant variety of the virus is set to get the tongues blazing and the production house is set to capitalise on the buzz and promote their movie about mutants on earth.
