On March 17, Pastor Jim preaches on Luke 10:38-42.

I can’t help but feel sorry for Martha. She invites Jesus and his disciples into her home. She is distracted by her many tasks and could really use a hand from her sister. She states this obvious fact, asks for help, and is gently, well we assume it was gentle, scolded by Jesus. Mary is praised for just sitting there.  

Many of us are worried and distracted from time to time. There are things that need doing. Where’s the good news for the Marthas of this world? Without them a lot would be left undone. We’ll think about this on Sunday.
