Mary Anning spent her whole life hunting fossils and her work changed scientific thinking about prehistoric life and the history of the Earth. He found some of the greatest fossils ever discovered but she was not noticed because she was self-educated, working-class, and more importantly, a woman. Today’s show is about this amazing lady who risked her life chipping away stone in the cold on the side of a cliff with the waves of the English Channel sneaking up behind her.
