This week I sit down with author Mary Firestone to discuss her book "Trusting the Dawn" , a personal account of post-traumatic growth, healing, self-love and self-discovery. Mary shares how  although our inclination is to turn away from our trauma and pain, it still finds a way out; she gives the reader and listening audience the courage to face the hardness of our wounds, head on. She talks about staying integrated throughout the healing process and changing the internal narratives we tell ourselves about who we are when something bad happens to us. She leaves the audience with the healing tools of curiosity, compassion, self-trust, and deep self-love.
