Mary Garvey Horst, NPC, LISW is a NeuroPositive Life Coach and psychotherapist in private practice in Santa Fe, NM. Mary has 23 years of experience in counseling with children, individual adults, couples, and families. Following 18 years serving clients in Southern California, she revitalized her therapeutic approach by entering a life coaching training program at the Applied Neuroscience Institute in Palm Springs, CA in 2008. Through ANI, she was introduced to the fields of Positive Psychology, Quantum Physics, and Neuroscience. Mary has been licensed for advanced clinical practice in the states of California and New Mexico, although she no longer practices in California after moving to New Mexico five years ago.

She holds a master’s degree in Religious Studies from Loyola University in New Orleans and a Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University. Mary is a member of the International Positive Psychology Association, as well as the International Coaching Federation. Within two years of being licensed as a NeuroPositive Life Coach, Mary and her husband, Ken, were introduced to the Energy Codes work of Dr. Sue Morter. Both of these modalities (Energy Codes & NeuroPositive Life Coaching) were instrumental in creating a vibrantly alive bridge for Mary from a more traditional clinical psychotherapy practice with its problem-orientation and preference for diagnoses into the strengths-based embodiment work of neuropositivity in action.
