Today, Feb 8 1587, Mary Queen of Scots was brutally executed by beheading. She had spent the last 19 years of her life in an English prison sentenced by Queen Elizabeth 1. In captivity she wrote letter to her supporters, mainly to French ambassador Michel de Castelnau de Mauvissiere in England.
