In this episode, we chat with Maryam Abolfasli, a Democratic congressional candidate for Tennessee's fifth district. Maryam is a single mother and daughter of Iranian parents who after a spending her earlier years working in Afghanistan rebuilding water infrastructure, decided to run for office. Being a Democrat and for "gun safety for kids", we were pretty confident of where she stood on guns before we started. Because we had watched some of her videos and knew the areas we were similar, we were confident that we'd find some common beliefs and that our conversation would be very productive. She didn't disappoint!
