On November 8, voters will be heading to the polls to elect the state’s next set of leaders. Votes will also be able to weigh in one four statewide ballot questions. Question 1 which is also known as the “millionaire’s tax” asks whether or not anyone earning more than a million dollars should be paying 4% more on top of the 5% income tax mandated in Massachusetts.
Andrew Farnitano is the Communications Director for the Fairshare of Massachusetts Campaign which says yes to question one. This means that the state should impose the 4% tax if a person’s income is over $1 million dollars.
