Called many things by those in the know (and those who believe they know): monkey mind, mechanical mind, biological brain, et al, the fact remains that within each and every one of us--without exception--is the binary operating system of our own hypnosis, ignorance, and enslavement. "The Matrix" is not 'out there;' it is 'in here.' The failure to recognize that objective fact, and begin living and acting in constant awareness of that fact, is the reason why countless individuals, groups, religions, cults, and movements of every kind walk the wide and easy road into hell. Countless billions BELIEVE themselves to be "good," altruistic, awake, woke, enlightened, spiritual, holy, "saved," ascended, et al, even as they remain utterly enslaved to the machinations of their own ego-mind: hypnotized and made ignorant...conditions which are the antithesis of gnosis, and diametrically opposed to advancement on the spiritual journey. One need only look at the world around us (and, more importantly, within us) to see how mind's mastery over individuals is the default state of humanity, responsible for our continued enslavement and suffering. But there is light at the end of the tunnel; there is hope for those who are willing to accept the hard facts and to do the work required to master the monkey, mechanical, maniacal mind of man.
