Distance is a great thing for speaking and leading without being distracted by negative people and that includes family and friends. It can be a powerful advantage when you’re speaking and leading, because it gives you room to think clearly without being pulled into negativity. Sometimes the biggest distractions come from the people closest to you or familiar voices that don’t always understand where you’re going. Protect your peace and mindset as you learn, think, and grow rich. Then move with confidence instead of constantly defending your vision. Distance isn’t about disconnecting from people; it’s about removing the noise so you can lead, speak, and grow without being weighed down.

We say we want visibility, but we don’t always want the responsibility that comes with it. We want the platform, the clients, the recognition, the influence, but we hesitate on the posting. Yet the speaking, showing up, and consistency is nowhere to be found. Visibility isn’t just something you pray for, it’s something you WORK for. Faith without works is dead, your actions have to support what you want you want God to do, but do they? 

You can’t continue to say you’re busy (everybody is busy baby), you can’t stay hidden, overthinking, waiting for perfect timing, and still expect people to see you. At some point, you have to decide you’re ready to be seen and move like it, speak like it, share more, post more, and stop shrinking. Because the truth is, most people don’t lack calling, they lack movement behind the calling. Comon’ somebody.

My journey of more self discovery is about going to new levels in what God has for me and where He’s taking me. I have been in a space of weeding out distractions in the form of people, places, and things. In this space of self discovery, one of the great things is, you don’t have to take up anything with people who do not understand what you’re doing and who may even run their mouths about you. Just simply take it to the throne. There is too much the Lord wants you to do and none of us has time for the people, places, and things that used to take up our time. 

Although I am still on all things public speaking, this journey of new levels is important to me being all I can be for you.

Hebrews 11 is such a beautiful reminder that God truly loves his people and gives them strength when they trust Him. The entire chapter of Hebrews walks us through the lives of ordinary people who did extraordinary things, not because they were fearless, but because they had faith. God strengthened them to do what He called them to do. That same truth applies to you too. When God calls you to speak, lead, or step onto a stage, He doesn’t expect you to do it in your own strength. He equips you and meets you right where you are. So remember this: when fear tries to show up, your faith reminds you that God’s power is greater, much greater.

Just a reminder when it comes to showing up and doing what God told you to do, you’re going to have to dig deep to continue on. You can show up a little differently than what you’ve been doing, but for crying out loud, show up somewhere. Just one place, one platform is ok if that’s all you have in you right now. 

Today many speakers, coaches, and entrepreneurs are tired. They’re tired because of the trust recession we’re in, but that’s the reality and we have to live with it. That’s what up and it doesn’t mean you stop, because no one is coming to save you or approve you.

You are anointed and called to do what God put in you. You don’t ask for permission or apologize for being you. You simply keep on keeping on. Women like you don’t wait for applause, they move when assigned, because platforms don’t create authority, obedience does.

You gonna let them bother you or are you going to remember who called you?

Remember who called you,” I mean pause long enough to shift your focus from the audience to the Author. Comon’ somebody. He’s the same God who placed purpose in your heart, who opened the door, who entrusted you with that message. He is the One who called you. You didn’t wake up one day and randomly decide to carry impact; this assignment was planted in you before you ever touched a microphone. And if He called you, He equipped you. If He positioned you, He will sustain you.

So when nerves rise or opinions get loud, you don’t shrink, you stand. Not in ego. Not in performance. But in obedience. Because this isn’t about proving yourself; it’s about honoring the One who sent you. And when you remember who called you, fear loses its authority.

Things may not be easy for many of us right now, but guess what? God is still on the throne. And although life these days can feel uncertain, overwhelming, and busy, I know that doesn't mean our faith has to be shaken. It doesn't mean we give up and just stop what God started.

And remember this: You don't need a bunch of gifts to walk in confidence and to build influence. All you need is one gift the Lord gave you and move with that one. In order to walk in confidence and influence, that requires faith and faith will enable you to study to become a better communicator when you’re willing to do the work. Have faith that God will do it.

We’re living in an unusual world today, nevertheless that’s life though. Over the centuries there were challenging times that we lived in (as humans). So we can’t give up because life happens. You’ve got too much to do, to get distracted on what doesn’t matter. They want you to react. Don’t take the bait. The enemy is using them, don’t get caught up. Stay locked in. Anything that tries to pull you off your action plan is just noise, not direction, so don’t give it your attention. God already gave you the assignment, and your job is to keep moving. 

Even when distractions show up dressed as “good ideas,” doubt, or delay, focus on the next faith step. And remind yourself who you are.

Do you know God is the God of Suddenly? One moment things look quiet, stuck, or even impossible…and then suddenly He shifts it all. Suddenly doors open, suddenly clarity comes, suddenly confidence rises up in you. What you’ve been praying about behind the scenes can change in an instant because God is never late, He’s intentional. Just because you don’t see movement doesn’t mean Heaven isn’t working on your behalf. Keep showing up, keep trusting God, and keep speaking faith even when it feels uncomfortable. God will come through for you.
