Shaakirah Nazim-Harris AKA Yasmina is a seventeen-year-old performer from Long Island, New York. Shaakirah’s high school theatre credits include: Seussical (Sour Kangaroo), Shrek the Musical (Sour Kangaroo), and Pippin (Leading Player). Outside of school, she performed in Michelle Obama’s Global Girls Alliance campaign and a national Facebook ad for Black History Month with girl group, June’s Diary. She is currently one of Long Island Arts Alliance’s Scholar Artists for musical theatre. She also releases her own original music under the stage name YASMINA. Her single “No Luv 4 Tha ‘Ville” has accumulated over four hundred thousand streams. She is looking forward to pursuing a BFA in drama at NYU this year.
