Why I created MasterSelf,
In this episode of Ascension to sovereignty, Leon shares the personal moment that became the foundation of the master self movement. This is not a theory it's lived experience.
Leon takes listeners back to a defining moment in his life: his father slipping into a diabetic coma, and having to pull the cord without fully understanding what diabetes even was. At that time, it felt like an unavoidable tragedy. Years later, while incarcerated and earning his fitness training certification, Leon learned a truth that changed everything, diabetes is largely preventable through lifestyle.
That realization sparked a deeper investigation. Leon began to see that what many communities call generational curses are often generational diseases conditions passed down through habits, food systems, stress, and lack of education, not feet. Diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, obesity, and even cancer are explored as patterns that repeat because the lifestyle producing them repeats.
This episode explains how that understanding became the first foundation of MasterSelf: breaking cycles through knowledge, discipline, and intentional living. Leon introduces Master self as a full curriculum-not a workout plan-designed to teach how the body works, how disease develops, and how daily practices like movement, nutrition, hydration, and structure can dramatically change health outcomes and life expectancy.
Leon speaks candidly about the pain of watching elders decline unnecessarily and the urgency of restoring strength, capability, and dignity to later life. MasterSelf is presented as a cultural reset-one that replaces confusion with clarity and leaves future generations with instructions, not regret.
This episode is about transforming personal pain into collective responsibility. It is about becoming ancestors who interrupt harmful cycles and build a future with long life is paired with strength, awareness, and self-mastery.
