The newly formed Mātātā Quintet join forces to present the first movement of Dvořák's Piano Quintet No. 2. Written in 1887, this monumental chamber work reflects the Czech composer's admiration for Bohemian folk music. Infused with rich melodies and rhythmic vitality, the work exudes a pastoral charm while maintaining Dvořák's masterful handling of classical forms.
