So we’ve all heard about mirroring body language, crossing and uncrossing your legs when someone else does, scratching your chin when they do, (and looking odd to boot!)
Today Abi and Jess discuss more subtle, linguistic ways to match and mirror which leads to a better way to relate to others and, in turn, a mutual trust. Do you speak in a similar way or do you introduce some different modalities in order to disturb automatic thinking in someone and thus help them to see more choice…….does all of this depend on the situation?
More than this though, what is the intention behind wanting to build trust? The ladies discuss the importance of being clear of why you are wanting this in the first place as, with all of this information floating into our unconscious, the other person will feel whether you are being congruent or not anyway…...always best to know yourself, then everyone else will feel it more easily without even saying a word.
