 On October 9, 2020, Taylor Parker fatally attacked Reagan Simmons-Hancock at her home and surgically removed her unborn daughter. The baby, Braxlynn Sage, was taken from the scene and later died at the hospital.  Following a trial, Parker was convicted of capital murder in 2022 and is currently on Texas death row. The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals affirmed her conviction and sentence in 2025.
