Hello everyone, it’s another beautiful moment to dive into solving mathematical problems, this time focusing on the topic of Matrices. In the previous video tutorial, I broke down the basic concepts of matrices. In this video, I will be solving a WAEC past question from the same topic, applying the foundational ideas discussed earlier.
In this particular question, we apply the concepts of addition, subtraction, and scalar multiplication of matrices. I solved the addition and subtraction problems by working with corresponding elements in the two given matrices, either adding or subtracting them as required. The resulting matrix maintains the same order as the matrices provided in the question.
Furthermore, for the scalar multiplication problem, I demonstrated how to multiply each element of a given matrix by a scalar (a constant number), resulting in a new matrix.
