Matt is a Combat Rescue Officer in the Air National Guard. This

year, he began a three-year Master of Fine Arts program at UAA, where he is concentrating on creative nonfiction. He’s been published or has essays forthcoming in the New York Times; War, Literature and the Arts, and Brevity.
