Matt Lumley is the vice president of the National Trappers Association and the President of the Montana Trappers Association. He is a former USDA federal agent where he trapped animals across the country for depredation, research, and relocations. He is an avid trapper from muskrats to wolf up here in Montana along with being an avid hunter and "bad fisherman". We're very fortunate to have him come on for an episode to talk trapping, hunting, legislation, and issues us as outdoorsman are currently facing and could face in the future. Also on the tail end of the episode Matt recounts his run in with a grizzly close to home. This is an episode you absolutely do not want to miss or leave early. Thanks to all the listeners, and big thank you to Matt for taking time to share some of his knowledge with us. If you have any questions about trapping or are interested in becoming a trapper, a great resource is the National Trappers Association website nationaltrappers.com or get in touch with your local or state trapper association.
