The final episode of Season 1 has arrived! In this episode, Matt chats with Ledio Hysi, an archaeologist who’s worked on bringing Classics to the wider world for several years now. Hear about Ledio’s work with Lithodomos VR, a tech company that’s bringing the past into the future, and what Ledio thinks about Classics outreach in the modern world. Ledio shares stories from his archaeological fieldwork in Turkey and lets us in on what he’s up to now (hint: it’s delicious!).

In the penultimate episode to Season 1, Matt thinks about the ways in which Classics has historically been promulgated to broader audiences, and whether this model is sustainable today. He discusses attempts in Hollywood, video games, and - recently - the internet to reach people with the story of the ancient world, and how successful (or not) those attempts have been. Hear Matt offer his thoughts about his own department shutting its doors and about methodological problems facing the field, and how he thinks we can save Classics for future generations.
