Episode 22 of The Sailing Podcast is with Matt Rutherford who solo circumnavigated around the Americas in a 27' Albin Vega designed yacht called St Brendan.

Matt's trip began in Annapolis, Maryland and from there he sailed north through Baffin Bay and into the North West Passage. After successfully transiting the passage he continued on down the west coast of North America, South America and down around Cape Horn. He continued up the East Coasts and back to Annapolis to complete the circumnavigation. Here are a few stats from the trip:

over 27,000 miles

309.9 days sailing

106 gallons of diesel

750lb of dried food

2500lbs total cargo in a 27' yacht

Thanks again matt for spending some time with me letting me know about your trip, your contribution to CRAB and also of the plans that are underway for the ocean research project.
