Rick and John ran the Matt Ryan press conference live from Flowery Branch. Matt opened up talking about being excited for the next 6 years and how the best is in front of them and will do the best he can to help the city and organization to win a championship. Matt talked about the turn since he has been with the Falcons and how he has been fortunate to be surrounded by good people. Matt admitted that both sides wanted to get the contract done before training camp so people would know that they are locked in a ready to go. Matt mentioned how special it was to take his twin boys with him to sign his new deal along with his wife because it was very special for him and his family.Matt joked about his football clips from his rookie season are pre-HD and he has five years of clicks pre-HD where now everything is on your iPad. Matt joked about having a fax machine at home, getting clips on CD’s and having a different laptop each week with the game plan. Matt did admit that he feels like has been a part of bringing the Franchise to the next level and credited all the support staff and coaches that he has worked with. ​
