JD Hall is a cessationist, he believes that the charismatic gifts ceased at the completion of the canon of Scripture. Matt Slick is a continuationist, he believes that the gifts continue and though not normative for today are still in effect for today.

This conversation gets very spicy at certain points, Matt Slick shares why this issue is so important to him. Some of the scripture that is discussed include 1 Corinthians 1:7, 1 Corinthians 13 and 1 Corinthians 14.
