That was the point of the sabbath, to look back to that rest with God, and look forward to the day when we can have that rest again, eternal rest, through Christ, Jesus our Lord, For that is what the OT sacrifices and sabbaths were pointing to, they were pointing to Christ, so don’t miss the real thing, the substance, for the shadow. (Col 2:16-17)
