John the Baptist is an intriguing figure in history. In some ways, we know almost nothing about him, but what we do know is his consistency. In his brief life and ministry, he consistently stood for God’s truth and pointed people to Jesus the Messiah. He did this even in his death. In this brief account of the final days of his ministry and subsequent death, many lessons are taught and should be applied to both Christianity and the world.
