* So Jesus told parables - and this one showed that He didn’t want anyone to be lost but all to be saved.

* He tells them a parable they would all be familiar with.

* How a shepherd searches for a lost sheep and brings it back into the fold.

* But one part of the story He left out.

* Why the shepherd carries the sheep on his shoulder.

* Because he had to break the leg, to teach the sheep not to wander away from him again.

* God does this to us as well - we go wandering off and it lifts God’s protective covering over us.

* We end up wounded - emotionally, spiritually, mentally, even physically.

* But God will pick us back up if we’ll let Him and He’ll carry us.

* So don’t get mad at Him for the pain - Thank Him for carrying you through it.
