One of the hardest things for us to truly understand is God’s grace. Grace is God’s undeserved love for sinners. Why is that so hard to understand? Because we always think we do something to deserve it. “I’m better than she is because…” “God should love me because…” “If anybody’s going to make it into heaven, it’s me because…” So Jesus tells us a story—a parable. When you hear it, it’s probably going to drive you crazy, because it sounds like God isn’t fair.
