Both the Magi and Herod are described as searching for the Messiah, yet to opposing ends. One seeks to pay homage whilst the other seeks to destroy. One way or another the thoughts of Man are bent towards God for good or for ill and sometimes God chooses to reveal himself in surprising ways.
