Argument: Jesus has instructions for us regarding our finances while we wait for his return.

Outline:

1. God has entrusted us with his property

2. God expects us to do something with it

3. There will be a day of accounting, with reward or rebuke

4. The rebuke is for the one afraid of offending

5. Jesus teaches that money is not evil, but is inherently deceptive

6. Money can be used well:

   • to advance the gospel,

   • alleviate suffering, and

   • increase our faith as we trust in God for our needs.
