* We are made up of three parts - Spirit, Soul, and Body.
* Our soul is our mind, will, and emotions.
* Peter had just denied Jesus, felt the sting of conviction when the rooster crowed, and wept many bitter tears.
* Now we see how Judas responds when he felt the same sting of conviction.
* Look at the three aspects:
* 1) Remorse - this is a matter of the emotions - you feel bad for what you’ve done.
* 2) Regret - this is a matter of the mind - you know you’ve done wrong.
* 3) Repent - this is a matter of the will - you choose to ask forgiveness and change your ways.
* To repent you have to rely on God’s grace and mercy, and recognize His rightful place of authority in your life.
* Peter experienced all three, and he was forgiven.
* Judas stopped at two - he never repented, giving God the chance to forgive him.
* Bringing this back to business - how do you know who to fire?
* When they’ve done what Judas did, and feel remorse and regret but have no intention of repenting.
* You know they won’t recognize your rightful authority.
* I had to fire an agent once….
