In Matthew 8, we study all kinds of stories of miraculous healing. A centurion, a Roman military officer who would have been in charge of 100 soldiers, humbly approaches Jesus asking Him to heal his servant who was at home paralyzed an in terrible agony. He displayed humility and respect for the authority of Jesus. So much so that Jesus was amazed by his faith. He believed Jesus could just speak the Word and his servant would be healed. He came to Jesus humbly and said "I need help" knowing Jesus is in full control. When we are humble and wholeheartedly devoted to Jesus and submissive under His authority, He will pour out His mercy and grace and be amazed. I want faith that amazes Jesus and that's why I'm going to keep pursuing Jesus every moment of every day with all my guts and every last exhale.
