In this episode, we begin the Gospel of Matthew by reading chapters 1 through 4, where the arrival of Jesus marks the fulfillment of long-awaited promises. From His genealogy and miraculous birth to the visit of the wise men and the flight into Egypt, these chapters establish Jesus as the promised Messiah.
We also witness His baptism, the affirmation of the Father, and His victory over temptation in the wilderness. Matthew 1–4 introduces the beginning of Jesus’ ministry as He calls His first disciples and proclaims the kingdom of heaven. These opening chapters remind us that God’s plan of redemption has arrived — and it begins with obedience, identity, and unwavering trust in the Father.
