We are studying chapter 2 of Matthew’s Gospel and were looking at the Visit of the Magi led by the star in our last episode. They acknowledged his arrival with expensive gifts that symbolized his Royal status, priesthood and even his death. The birth of Jesus was to be a time of rejoicing.
