00:26 – The final hours of the Savior’s mortal life.

03:35 – Simon of Cyrene carries Jesus’ cross to Calvary.

06:07 – Jesus is crucified at Golgotha, Calvary, or the place of the skull. The Roman soldiers strike nails into the palms of Jesus’ hands and wrists, then take away his robe that was without seam.

16:59 – Jesus makes seven statements from the cross. These statements can guide us in how we choose to live our lives. He asked his Heavenly Father to forgive those who placed him on the cross saying, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”

20:17 – To Mary he said, “Woman, behold thy son!” To the disciple standing with Mary he said, “Behold thy mother!”

22:00 – To the two criminals crucified with him Jesus said, “Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.”

25:01 – In agony, Jesus proclaimed “I thirst.” Jesus died having finished the bitter cup.

29:43 – It is noteworthy what Jesus did not say when on the cross. He was submissive to the end.

32:03 – Jesus asks his Heavenly Father, “Why hast thou forsaken me?”

36:53 – “It is finished.”

38:21 – “Into thy hands I commend my spirit.”

41:17 – Jesus yields up the ghost, after which the veil in the temple is torn and the earth is rent.

50:53 – The centurion, seeing the earthquake, proclaims “Truly this was the Son of God.” Several powerful women witness and testify of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. The whole earth testifies of Christ at his death on the cross.

55:30 – Jesus’ legs are not broken, and his side is pierced with a spear. To the authors of the gospels, these are types that were in the Hebrew Bible which testified of Jesus Christ.

1:01:26 – Jesus is buried in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea.

1:07:43 – The chief priests and Pharisees make sure there is a stone sealing the tomb and a watch placed. Sunday will come.
