Matthew Part 3 - Jesus Breaks Down Barriers & Bears Our Brokenness (8:1-17)
As we begin our series in Matthew 8-9 we see Jesus coming down the hill after preaching the Sermon on the Mount. Matthew then zooms in on a number of individual healing stories, and shows us how Jesus has come to break down barriers and bear our brokenness.
Matthew is also keen to show us the PURPOSE and MEANS of these healing miracles, by highlighting faith and demonstrating Jesus' fulfilment of Old Testament prophecy.
