Relationship with Jesus takes priority over every other relationship, even the relationship with one’s family. Jesus’ disciples are his true family, and in him, we are part of this new Kingdom family of God that is being formed. It’s not a family of flesh and blood, but one that is bound together by something new: doing the will of the Father.
