Testicular cancer is the second most common cancer in young men (aged 18 to 39) and the risk of being diagnosed with testicular cancer by age 85 is 1 in 189. The rate of men diagnosed with testicular cancer has grown by more than 50% over the past 30 years, however the reason for this is not known.
Around 6 years ago Matty was diagnosed with testicular cancer after feeling his testicles in the shower and feeling a lump.
In this week's episode Matty tells us what it was like:
- how he felt when he found out.
- how long it took to overcome it.
- what the treatment was
- when he felt back to normal
