Mature Medic Spotlight - Simon Bailey
This Mature Medic Spotlight is with Simon, a second-year medical student at the University of Cambridge!
Simon previously studied Pharmacy at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, and worked as a hospital and then community pharmacist for four years before starting medicine.
Simon has carried out a research project in Malaysia, speaks French and plays the piano and the Irish whistles! (Wow, what a combo!)
We talk about the application for medicine; entrance exams, applying strategically and the Cambridge application. How pharmacy led to medicine, what studying at Cambridge on the GEM course is like and the importance of interests outside of medicine!
