Guadalupe Garcia is the owner of Trompudo’s Tacos, a fast-casual restaurant specializing in traditional tacos. Guadalupe was born and raised in South OKC. Guadalupe’s parents, Marcelino and Esperanza Garcia are from a small rural town located in the municipality of Calvillo, in the state of Aguascalientes, Mexico. Guadalupe is 1 of 5 children. He and his four siblings grew up in and around the food service industry. In 1989, His father founded and opened Chelino’s Mexican Restaurant.
During his Junior and Senior years, Guadalupe attended Metro Technology Centers for Automotive Refinishing. Guadalupe enjoyed and excelled in the classroom, going on to win the SkillsUSA competition in 2012. After graduating high school, Guadalupe decided he would work in the family business.
Guadalupe has a passion for the Restaurant Industry. Being a risk taker, the industry is a perfect match for Guadalupe, as it encourages thinking outside the box to beat the competition and remain relevant. Guadalupe is always looking to innovate with Trompudo’s Tacos, whether through technology or the palate. He enjoys being able to share his passion and culture with his guests. His goal is to extend the experience of Trompudo’s Tacos to as many people as he can.
