Chapters 47 & 48: Sumner and Laurent discover the universe is bigger than they'd dreamed and Maxine visits Spain.

Chapters 44, 45, & 46: Sumner and Laurent enter into the cave and Mr. Humphries introduces Maxine to herself.

Sumner confronts a nemesis as do Mr. Humphries and Selena Simon.
